Battle of Wood Green 1977

Were you at the Battle of Wood Green in 1977?

Local portrait photographer Tom Ferrie is creating a photography exhibition to mark the 50th anniversary of the Battle of Wood Green in 2027, a seminal moment in Britain's stand against the National Front. The exhibition is planned to coincide with Haringey's Borough of Culture.

Tom is particularly keen to hear from people who helped organise the protest, took part in it, witnessed the events, or have been involved in preserving its history.

He is looking for people who were there, or who have family members who were, to take part in the project and share their stories. He would also love to hear from anyone with photographs, posters, leaflets, banners or other memorabilia from the day.

Tom is also looking for a young local person with an interest in photography, local history or curation who would like to help shape the project and gain experience working on a community heritage exhibition.
